update

I didn’t realize it had been so long since I last posted! Summer is still awesome. I did some apartment hunting in Providence and found a place to live. I got paid to sit on the beach for a few days. Then I came home and went to a pool party! It wasn’t as glamorous as something P. Diddy would throw, but badass nontehless. We played Four Square, swam, and tried to eat Gushers while in the pool. You can see them floating on the inverted Frisbee. I ended the day at the Brewery with a beer and a chili dog. Ahhh… the first hot dog of summer.

I have Summer-itis. I have one month until my last day of work, and I’m already mentally checked out. In fact, I have a report that was due yesterday and I had to come to work today to finish it. I could’ve had today off for some silly Massachusetts holiday. I get to save the day off and take it later but I’m already only working 4 days a week. How much less could I work? I can’t wait to find out.

I haven’t posted pictures of my knitting progress in a while. Mostly because I’ve been knitting multiples of the same thing over and over – the same baby booties and sweaters being requested by all of the pregnant people I know. The other day while I was trimming yarn, I accidentally snipped through the flesh of my finger with my razor sharp sewing scissors. You know how you lay yarn or fabric in between the pointer & middle fingers and clip in between them? I guess my depth perception was off and I cut the yarn but during the follow through the tips of the scissors snipped my finger. I was half in pain, half amazed by how cleanly and easily it cut through the skin.
