I went to an open mic last night and saw this guy, MC Mr. Napkins.  Listen to the songs on his myspace and watch his YouTube/CNN debut.  I think the stuff he did in person was funnier than what I was able to find online, but at least there’s a video.  He did a song called “Tae Kwon Do’s and Don’ts” and I had in stuck in my head all day today.  Then I came home and said that to Brian, and he said he had to listen to other music just to get that same song out of his head.

I was going to make a joke about nerdcore, but I gave up.  He’s funny.  The end.

Speaking of nerdcore, my favorite band when I was in high school is reuniting for a tour this summer, some 5 years after they broke up.  That’s right, there’s a rumor that 2 Skinnee J’s are playing a few dates this August.  I liked a lot of shitty bands in high school, but this one is still sort of acceptable.  I’m curious about checking it out, but I don’t want to be a) disappointed; I’d rather keep my fond devoted memories the way they are, or b) lame; Would it be the equivalent of the old lady going to check out White Snake or some other old ass reunion band?
